Millennial shares her first ever experience with a Gen Z doctor and gives highest praise, sparks others to share their positive experiences: ‘Brace yourself, because it’s adorable!'

As the years start coming (and they don't stop coming) we start to see a younger generation take over important positions in society. The "greatest generation" was afraid of the baby boomers taking over, and the boomers are still afraid of the millennials taking over. [Gen X is just along for the ride, they don't seem to care all that much…] But you know what generation is actually encouraging and cheering on their successor generation? That's right, the millennials! They are stoked to see Gen Z starting to come up in society. Gen Z is a generation filled with the little siblings to the millennials, they love them and some of them basically raised them themselves. Us millennials got so traumatized by our baby boomer predecessor generation that we are making sure to be nothing like them as best as we can. So we are applauding the new doctors, politicians, and lawyers entering the chat! They might be 10 years younger than us, but who cares?! Go Gen Z, go!! 

 

A millennial on TikTok recently posted her first experience with a Gen Z doctor and she is ecstatic. She tells the hilarious story of her doctor's reaction to her diagnosis, but also emphasizes how attentive and validating of a doctor she was. Too many of us have been gaslit and demoralized by boomer doctors, we want more doctors like this Gen Z one! The video sparked other millennials to come forth with sharing their positive experiences with Gen Z doctors and it's a hilarious time. Who new medical emergencies could ignite a laugh?!

  • "So yesterday I had my first experience with a Gen Z doctor, and if you have not had one yet, brace yourself, cause it is… It's so adorable! Frankly, it's adorable. So, we went to urgent care because I fainted again, and turns out I'm having an… Well, anyway, the story gets complicated from here, but the doctor comes in and she's like, 'Yo, dog!’ 

    Seriously, [she says], ‘Yo, dog! You passed out four times in the past 48 hours. You need to go to the emergency room by ambulance.'

    That is for verbatim what the doctor said to me.

    'Yo, dog, you've passed out four times in the past 48 hours. You need to go to the ER by ambulance.'

    The hand gestures, everything. She listens super patiently while my millennial boyfriend and I were like, 'we can't afford it...'

    And then when I told her that we can't afford the ambulance, she's like, 'just don't pay it. What are they gonna do? Just don't pay it.'

    I, for one, welcome our Gen Z overlords. I loved them when I taught them. I'm excited that they're in positions of power now and are making decisions."
